Our Invercargill laboratory specialise in the microbiological testing of meat, fish, food, and environmental swabs. The team supports several meat, fish, and food businesses across the Southland region with their testing requirements for export and local selling of products.  

The laboratory is registered to carry out testing for the National Microbiological Database programme (NMD) of which primary processors of meat and game must be a part of. They also hold Ministry of Primary Industry recognised laboratory programme accreditation (MPI-RLP). These accreditations are in place to assess risk and determine food safety before reaching the consumer.
